RPZ valves must be tested on an annual basis or in some cases every six months in order to meet local water authority requirements.
Tests must be carried out by an accredited tester.
What is an RPZ valve?
An RPZ or Reduced Pressure Zone Device (RPZD, RPZ or RPZ valve) is a type of backflow prevention device used to protect water supplies from contamination due to backflow and back siphonage.
